REVIEW | DIOR CRÈME DE ROSE LIP BALM

I've always been a big fan of Dior cosmetics, from their eyeshadows to their foundation I have it all. So when I came across this beautifully packaged lip balm I couldn't help myself. Im not one to buy lip balm in a pot due to hygienes reasons but placed on a vanity table or in your makeup bag you cannot fault how cute the Crème de Rose is and with all the hype it has been receiving I just had to try it out for myself. It is a rose scented lip balm and with SPF 10, you can wear all year round while protecting your the sun.

What the product say:
"The must have care for damaged lips. The lip balm allies the expertise of Dior research in nutrition to the delicate smoothness of rose petals. All its nourishing power comes from the rare and precious Damask Rose essential oil extract together with an anti-ageing complex and Shea butter. Lips are instantly soothed, moisturised, beautifully plumped and soft."

One thing about this product that everyone needs to know when you are trying it out for the first time is that the lip balm is coated with a hard shell, but once broken (just push down slightly) it releases a thick formula that is really moisturising. For plumping factors I did not notice any plumping or tingling that you would typically see in plumping products, but due the thick and milky texture of the balm it gives the look of fuller and glosser lips which is always a plus.

Its non sticky and comfy on the lips. If you apply it before you go to bed, you wake up with soft feeling lips. At £20 it is a little splurge but if you are having trouble finding a lip balm that works for you then definitely give this a go.
