My hair was looking pretty dull and dry due to the many years of dying my hair. I would say I have thick hair but was suffering from a great deal of hair loss, although it grew back (OMG I have so much baby hair), the amount hair was coming out was starting to scare me! Not only I think that the shampoo I use had a part to play in it but also my diet and due to the level of stress! So i started to take vitamins for my hair and went on search for a replacement shampoo as the current drugstore shampoo was not cleaning my hair enough, leaving it still looking greasy after wash.

I came across this Shu Uemura cleansing oil shampoo on www.feelunique.com, at first I was a little hesitant to try it out as reviews on this product was very mixed and at £31 for a 400ml bottle of shampoo that is pretty expensive. BUT I was so desperate to fix my hair as it was looking very dull and greasy I thought I would splurged a little :D.

What the bottle says:
"The paraben and silicone- free formula with Onsen inspired ferment, known in Japan for their purity virtues, gently cleanses all the hair types while respecting the balance of the scalp. The lightweight cleanser provides radiance with the unique airy touch."

The shampoo comes in a 400ml plastic bottle with a pump, it has sweet orange scent. My view? It does what it says on the bottle; it cleans the scalp and leaves the hair more airy feel, especially when you use drugstore shampoo as they have lots of chemicals inside. I use this shampoo twice a week with two pumps after my 1st shampoo (I always shampoo my hair twice), i massage it into my went scalp and root only leaving the ends which i condition after.

If you already have dry hair you may not see the difference however I only recommend using this on the roots and scalp as using it on the ends will be to harsh for the hair and may leave it dry and not to use it everyday. I like the product, but do I love it? I don't know. I don't think it does amazing things to my hair but like I said before it doe what it claims. I think I need to finish the bottle before deciding whether I will repurchase as the price point is expensive and for that price I would like to try out other shampoo that may work for my hair.

It is definitely one of those products that you need to try for yourself!
Have you tried it? What are your thoughts?
